Get Involved!

Volunteers adding dirt to raised garden beds.

Mesa Urban Garden thrives because of the amazing people who give their time, talent, and energy. Whether you’ve got a free afternoon or want to take on a leadership role, there may be a role just right for you. Find contact info below.

Group Workdays

From time to time, we host big volunteer events where groups can ‘dig in’ together. These projects may include larger tasks like spreading mulch, painting fences, or helping with seasonal cleanups.

Simple Ways to Lend a Hand

You don’t need to be a Master Gardener to volunteer! Here are just a few easy and fun ways you can jump in:

  • Turn the Pile – Help with composting and keeping our soil-to-be happy
  • Get Growing – Join in weekly and seasonal tasks like watering, weeding, and harvesting
  • Tend the Rain Garden – Care for our native plants and pollinator friends
  • Seed Starters – Sow seeds, transplant starts, and plant herbs, flowers, and seasonal crops in our community beds
  • Event Sidekick – Pitch in with planning, setup, welcoming guest

Even a little bit of your time goes a long way in keeping the garden thriving.
